Schilderij mother and daughter
As a child, I wasn’t fond of photos, especially not when other people were taking them of me.
My mother loved taking pictures and always said, “You’ll regret it later if we don’t have many photos together.”
Now, a year after my mother’s passing, I’ve realized she was right. We didn’t have that one perfect photo.
The one we both would have cherished.
So I decided to combine two separate photos of us into one new image, a beautiful painting of the two of us together.
The painting features LED lighting that can be controlled via a smartphone. It can display different colors and modes, and even synchronize with the rhythm of music.
It was painted using Cobra Artist and Study quality oil paints.
Because the painting looks different each time depending on the lighting, and because it means so much to me, it has its own dedicated page.
